Våren er på veg til Gullingen

This week we’ve had the pleasure of teaching the 4.th and 5.th graders from International School of Stavanger, the mysteries of crosscountry-skiing and other outdoor life exeriences! And the students from nearly all over the world, a lot of them with no experience at all on snow, became quite good at it 🙂 We nearly all the time just saw big smiles as they sloped on skijumps, under gates, doing the «cycling on skis, and went snowshoeing. And, at the end of the week nearly every one of them had become exellent skiers 🙂 Thanks to you all for being here in the snowy mountains, going with us – on the loose! Our advise to you all – go more on cross-country skis !!

Monday
We went to the Ski Fun area and we skied a lot. For some of us it was our first time ever on skies. We also played some games. We had our first dinner in Gullingen as well.
Tuesday
On Tuesday, we tried snowshoes. We went further up into the mountains and we played another version of Bingo, using a map to find the marks. This helped us improve our map reading skills. We were all tired when we got back to our cabin.
Wednesday
We went on a long trek up the mountain with skies. We made a Lee-wall and a campfire and grilled our sandwiches. We had a lot of fun that day.
Thursday
On Thursday, we went on another ski trip down into the valley, we also went ice fishing.
Friday
We had our last breakfast in Gullingen. Then we packed our bags and did our jobs. We had a lot of fun in Gullingen. It was great.
